MEIKO

Everybody loves MEIKO onee-chan ^_^ So do I! MEIKO is one of the earliest VOCALOID that was made by Crypton. The same company who created the ever popular Hatsune Miku VOCALOID that everyone's listening to. Ok, not everyone but a LOT of people.

So what prompted this post? Well... take a look at the picture below...

Oooh, all the VOCALOID plushie... they're all so cute! But look to the farthest right of the picture. IT'S MEIKO!!! IT'S A FREAKIN' MEIKO PLUSHIE!!! I knew I didn't get the Miku plushie for a reason. The Miku plushie had been in my online shopping cart for a while, but I've never gotten around to actually order it, even if it was one of the hottest items that was always sold out when it got restocked...

I saw the Kaito and the Kagamine twins plushie being made. I didn't even think that MEIKO was a possibility since she was ignored this whole time... But I kept my optimism up when I saw KAITO and Rin and Len being made, "maybe there's a chance MEIKO will be made too". And there she is in all her glory! The mature MEIKO making her presence in the recent Miyazawa Model Exhibition!

Well I can't really leave it at that though. I have to explain why MEIKO gets her own post here and why I'm a fan.

So who is MEIKO anyway? As I've said she was one of the earliest VOCALOIDs released on November 5, 2004. Her voice is based on a Japanese singer named Meiko Haigou. Unfortunately MEIKO, the Vocaloid, does not share the same popularity as Hatsune Miku, who is a Vocaloid ver. 2 program. MEIKO's voice tend to be more electronic than the other Vocaloids, but a lot of skilled programmers have created great music for MEIKO. In fact, MEIKO has a greater range of vocals than Miku and the later Vocaloids. Her songs range from jazz, R&B, rock, pop and even children's songs. I personally like her cool voice as expressed in the following song:

The above video and song was the one that exposed me to MEIKO and was the catalyst that made me delve deeper into the VOCALOID world, all thanks to Mr. Hatsune Tenrou... It was a very cool song paired with depictions of a very strong and tough MEIKO protecting the younger Vocaloids.

There are few versions of MEIKO, but I'll only talk about the two right now. One is the older version of MEIKO which is based on the box art of the software. She tends to have the cool adult voice. The other version, which was fanmade, is Sakine Meiko, who is supposed to be the 16-year-old version of MEIKO. Obviously she has a younger voice and used for more fun songs such as Honey:

Sure it's a cuter voice, but I can't help but find it a bit more electronic than Sore ga Bokura no Justice (the first posted song).

It was exactly two weeks ago that MEIKO celebrated her fifth birthday. This picture was so cute that I need to use it. A younger version of MEIKO? KAWAII! ^.^ I made a special post about her birthday on Figure.FM and highlighted some of my favourite MEIKO songs.

One of her newer songs that was created on her birthday is Sky Cutting Scissors as seen below:

You know you want your favourite singer to do her best, right? ^^ Which is why I'm quite choosy about MEIKO songs and I tend to not bother if the song is too electronic for my taste. That varies of course. So even if her voice still sound too electronic, but the song was well done, I'd still like the song.

One of these creators who composes MEIKO song is none other than Susumu Fujiwara, better known as the composer to most, if not all, of Satoshi Kon's movies. The last movie that he composed was Paprika and not many know this (neither did I when I first watched the movie) that he used MEIKO to sing for the opening song! Way to go MEIKO! High profile work ^_^

Paprika is already one of my favourite anime movies because of Megumi Hayashibara was the voice actress for the main character, great visuals, great story... and now with this recent revelation, great opening song! I did love that song even before knowing about this fact :)

And of course I'm looking forward to the Puchi Nendoroid Vocaloid version of MEIKO. She looks so cool! Some people on Figure.fm, DannyChoo.com and Twitter have probably seen my current avatar with this MEIKO ^^

This is the Sakine Meiko version. She has that *kira* pose from Macross Frontier's Ranka... Speaking of which:

Right now I'm not as avid in looking through her songs and videos on Nico Nico Douga as I used to, but I hope to continue this habit again. My time has become shorter and shorter these days... But she still has a fan in me, even if I don't keep up to date.

Last but not least... I can't leave a MEIKO post without showing you my favourite MEIKO song and video ever ^_^

Otaku Consumerism & Dubs

So a few days ago I found out there's a watch with an Evangelion license, called the Daykeeper (Relax Plus Plugsuits Edition). Not only is it Evangelion, but it's also made to look like the watch they used in the movies (or an existing watch that they use for the movies). There are three colours with the same design, but they are labeled according to the characters. Red is Asuka's, blue is Shinji's and white is Rei's...

Pictures of the watch are from Hobby Search and Rakuten.

REI'S??? Of course with that label and the prospect of having the same watch as Rei, I was all hyper and was dying to have it! I know some of you have heard me on Twitter just hyping it up. The only concern I had at first was how it would look on me... A white wrist watch on a guy? The people I talked to said it wasn't a big deal though no one liked the design ^^;

Ok, so with that concern gone, I took a closer look to see what kind of features this watch has. Alarm clock, stopwatch, water resistant... And then I look at the above picture. Uh oh... no calendar. One thing I look at my watch is the date. So if I get this I'll have to know what date it is... Unless of course someone who has this kind of watch can tell me if there is a feature for a calendar on this watch.

The above picture shows how it's strapped on. Very interesting strap. I've been trying to research more about this brand called RELAX PLUS, but not much about the calendar or other features. Plus most of the sites I go to is in Japanese and there's only so much Google Translate can do.

The other thing I found is that they also make different colours of straps! So if white doesn't work for me then I can buy an extra one with the colour I like... BUT that defeats the whole purpose of having an Evangelion watch!!! GUNDAMMIT!

To get this watch or not get this watch,
that is the question.

Before I continue... Apologies to Wolfheinrich because I haven't worked on the next 4koma much... I've been kinda panicking, trying to find another job this past week, plus my friend dragged me to 2012, even though in the end he hated it himself. Not to mention the long lineup and the fight during the lineup... Fun fun fun...

Next up is a couple of DVD and Blu-Ray news I found through AnimeNation and Anime News Network.

It is the local release of Bandai's Kurokami: The Animation. Honestly, I tried reading the manga and I could not finish the first volume. It was a bit too confusing and the story was all over the place. The only reason why I got the manga was because Park Sung-Woo is the artist, one of my favourite Korean artists. So the anime is even further away from his character designs.

So what's the point of talking about the anime? Bandai is releasing the first 6 episodes in a 2-disc DVD set in Subtitled Japanese and in English Dub for $40 and also the first 4 episodes on a Blu-Ray in English Dub only for $30. I thought there wasn't anything wrong about this until I saw the details for the Blu-Ray edition... DUB ONLY?? This worries me and of course it was one of the topic of the day the next day on AnimeNation.

Apparently one of the reasons for Dub only release of the Blu-Ray is that there is no regional restriction between Japanese and North American Blu-Rays. So the Japanese company is worried that people will import it from North America, which is typically cheaper... SO!? Why not make your release the same price as the North American release and have the both audio on it?? AAARGH! Ok fine I won't even buy this series, but I'm worried that this is gonna set a precedence for future Blu-Ray releases.

And it was only a few days before this news was released that the Japanese DVD release of Shangri-La has been shortened from single 2-episode discs to boxed DVD release. It sounds like Japan's sales of DVD are down as well... Obviously because they're expensive, so it's nice to see Japan somewhat adapts the North American release system. Though who knows how much they priced that box set... So why not make it cheaper? Price it the way it's done for the North American release. Then we can get that Japanese audio in the Blu-Ray releases here... Of course it's not helping when there are over 10,000 copies of Endless Eight DVDs are being sold -_-

The point of showing the dub-only release of the Kurokami Blu-Ray leads to my stance on the ever-present Subs vs Dubs argument. I personally don't mind if people like dubs. That's their choice. I personally do not like dubs because I've heard a bad dub of Legend of Lemnear years ago. It was a sexy anime with character designs by Satoshi Urushihara. The voice that came out of the character just killed the whole thing for me. I couldn't finish watching the very short anime because the dub was awful.

These days it's about the same... Very ear cringing dubs just killed it for me. The last dub I saw was the Evangelion 1.0 movie. Shinji's voice was so bad that it killed some of the dramatic moments... and even the comedic moments. It would've been better if they somewhat use their natural voice instead of trying to imitate what it was like in Japanese. And that goes with all anime. I pay attention to the female characters the most in anime, so if they don't sound right in dubs then I won't even listen to it at all. So now I don't take chances anymore with dubs and go with subs.

Now for a counterpoint... I also have heard a bad Japanese dub. I remember watching an early episode of Angelic Layer and cringed as much as I did while I was listening to English dubs because the voice actress was trying to sound younger. It only happened in 2 of the 24 episodes, or even half of an episode, but she sounded ok the rest of the time. Generally the Japanese audio is always a better watch for me because I would not be distracted by the English dub.

The other counterpoint... I have heard good English dubs. A lot of them were the Ghibli movies that used actual actors. They sounded great! I wouldn't mind watching them in dub if I have to. Especially Kiki's Delivery Service, my favourite Ghibli/Miyazaki movie. I loved both the Japanese and English edition. The English songs were great!

Ok... enough rant, but at least I've finally put it out there.

And lastly... something I've read recently from AnimeNation News as well... Yamaha is releasing a couple of Voiceroids; a male and female voice synthesizers.

The thing is... they're synthesizing the voice that of a very young boy and girl. Tsukuyomi Ai is the female one and pictured above. Yes, she sounds exactly as she looks.

The boy is named Tsukuyomi Shota. Now can you imagine what some people are gonna do with these two? Yeah... Very interesting things, that's for sure. Check out the AnimeNation link to get some of the voice samples.

Sometimes I really hate the otaku and consumer in me. I just want to get and get but I really shouldn't have because I don't really have the money for it. Ok I may not get the Voiceroids or the Kurokami DVD/Blu-Ray, but the watch is something I really want to get. I'd love to upgrade to Blu-Ray but if it costs me the Japanese audio and subtitles, then what's the point? I really hope they don't ruin future Blu-Ray releases because someday there might be something I really want to get...

Opposites Attract

The world seemed to have turned sideways and completely backwards than what it used to be... Or perhaps it's not as backwards as one might think, maybe even logical.

This news is almost a week old, but I didn't hear a lot of rumbling about this. I found this news through AnimeNation News which was sourced from AltJapan, but it's originally a survey that was taken from an otaku matching service in Japan called Otakuma.

Image and series name translations from AnimeNation. From what I can see at the bottom of the picture, the survey was gathered from April 27 to August 8th, 2009. 923 males and 360 females took this survey.

Females:
1. Gundam (all series)
2. K-ON!
3. Code Geass
4. Macross Frontier
5. Shin Seiki Evangelion / Toradora! (tie)
6. Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu
7. Lucky Star
8. CLANNAD
9. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
10. Minami-ke

Males:
1. K-ON!
2. Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu
3. Lucky Star
4. Gundam (all series)
5. Saki
6. Shin Seiki Evangelion
7. Mahou Shoujo Lyrical nanoha
8. Hetalia
9. CLANNAD
10. Toradora!
As you've noticed there are several robot/mech titles on the list for females whereas some of those robot/mech titles don't even appear in the list for males. The world is changing. I am a part of this changing world as well because I have a lot of anime with a female lead or all female cast as some of my favourite anime.

Perhaps because this is a type of matching/dating service and a lot of people's tastes change drastically when they grow up. I know I liked a lot of giant super robots when I was young and when I was in Jakarta. When I moved to Vancouver a lot of anime that were prominent at the time were either romance comedy or female oriented, such as Ranma 1/2 and Sailor Moon. I was looking for more robot shows when I first moved here, but each culture have different tastes in anime. Well, Canada hardly had any anime or people who liked anime back then... So because of age and culture, my taste in anime has changed quite drastically as well.

However, this survey result is quite drastic and completely the opposite of what traditional anime audience usually watch. I think anime producers are also part of this revolution. They know that their giant robot anime will attract the boys to watch the action, but they want to attract the other market as well. Thus Gundam Seed, Gundam Wing and Code Geass were born with designs that attracted the female audience. Whereas it's so much easier to grab the male audience with nothing but girls, cute girls and sexy girls that definitely attract the boys to their anime.

So how to sum this up? Well they sure know how to attract the opposite sex... Is this true for you?

Omake

Oh lookit that... It's my 100th post! I'm crying tears of joy as expressed by Mikuru's face here... Ok not really. I didn't really plan too much for my 100th post honestly. I did do quite a bit of work to do the next batch of Saber Lily 4koma though. These ones don't really follow any storylines, so I thought calling them omake is appropriate.

I haven't done batch comics in a while since the last few ones had major background replacement. These ones were pretty simple. The first one had the most work done, but even that didn't involve too much editing.

The Melancholy of Saber Lily Part 24

This was somewhat inspired by the John Woo action movie, "Face/Off". At least the title is... I've been wanting to do this sequence for a while since I've been borrowing the original Saber's alternate face on Saber Lily for so long. It's time she gets her face back!

The crying face is of course, Mikuru's, the first picture you see in this post. I was going to place the face directly... but the face was actually too big on Saber Lily's head. No standardized face sizes in Figma...

Thus, Mikuru's face had to be imposed in Photoshop. The above photo is what it originally looked like. Oh and I borrowed a bit of Yunamon's effects for the comic above. His 4koma is quite inspiring ^_^

The Melancholy of Saber Lily Part 25

Yup, gotta cater to the fujoshi community as well, lol. Though I dunno if what Yuki's doing at the end is even reality or not ^^; This comic was based on the dialogue between Haruhi and Saber Lily in the previous comic post and fueled by FatBastard's comment on Figure.FM. Yuki was added later on to complete the 4 panels... It's something Yaku would've wanted ^_^

Not much to say here... I was pretty much trying to take the photos so that their imaginary "appendage" is either blocked or not visible. Oh yeah, I did borrow that line from Baka Tsuki's translation of the Haruhi novels. It seemed appropriate. ^_^

"In other words" inspired an idea. Well the idea was there before I came up with this title, but it's definitely something I'll do in the future.

The Melancholy of Saber Lily Part 26

This whole thing about GN Archer being a female mecha and the tentacle monster came about around last winter when they first showed GN Archer and how feminine it looked. This idea was inspired by WiseFreeman who did a post on GN Archer a long time ago. I remember I commented on how there should be a GN Archer doujinshi ^.^ Haven't seen one yet, so I decide to make my own :P

I pretty much spoiled the tentacle vs GN Archer action in my last post... but I didn't spoil the appearances by Saber Lily and Haruhi. They were part of the plan, but weren't revealed til now! I cracked up just from the dialogue going on in the last (lily) panel XD

The 4koma below is the rejected pile. I was going to do two versions with the GN Archer, but I felt it was too redundant and went with the one with the lily panel ending. Since I saved the other one already, you might as well take a look... It's weak, I know -_-

I like the title better, but it was a bit too long to fit in the comic anyway :P Which one did you like better?

All of these 4koma are on The Melancholy of Saber Lily site of course. I've been putting them there and surprised anyone who've been visiting that with new comics even though I haven't made this post yet.

So how was the 100th post? It included guro (face removing), yuri and even yaoi! Catering to everyone's tastes... XD

Nekomimi Kanu Unchou ~Pink Ver.

Nyaa! Nekomimi mode desu! It's Ikki Tousen's fiercest warrior, Kanu Unchou, with a cat ears, cat paws and tail slapped on her along with a pink uniform! This was one of the figures I've been hunting for. I was looking for the blue uniform one, but when Toylet had their recent sale, I jumped the chance to own this cutie kitty even if she is pink. =^.^=

Griffon's figures is a hit and miss, but they do make a lot of Ikki Tousen figures and some of them are quite nice just for the gimmicks. At 50% off I didn't find any reason not to get this one. And if you haven't figure out from the first picture... this post is kinda NSFW...

Griffon 1/8 Kanu Unchou Nekomimi Version ~Pink

Of course the first thing you notice is her pantsu exposure... Not very subtle, but I'm more focused on the cute face and nekomimi, and maybe loose socks. Her pantsu is secondary. Really...

Face towards the camera... She's got that 'come hither' look.

I'm a little worried about the stray hair around her because when I put the mini Ryuubi neko it felt like it could snap some of the hair strands near her. The hair at the bottom is just flat so that it can support the figure.

Really love the socks... I don't have a really good setup with the lighting so the pantsu might be overexposed by the light... Bad choice of words? :P

I know Griffon doesn't have the best figures, but Kanu's waist bending looks gorgeous! Very good details.

Here are her neko paws. Let's pause for a moment and enjoy this view...

A close up of Chouhi, the small catgirl on Kanu's shoulder. After playing Ikki Tousen: Eloquent Fist, Chouhi has become one of my favourite Ikki Tousen girls along with Ryomou and Kanu. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of figures of Chouhi and the ones that exist aren't that great. I really love her Kansai accent in the game.

On another note... isn't it kinda creepy that the eyes are there but not really there. Should I go take a Gundam Marker and make a panel line Chouhi's eyes?

And here's a close up of chibi neko Ryuubi. She has those weird eyes too, but at least she's got a glasses thingy on.

She reminds me a lot of Puchiko from Digi Charat... so I took a picture of her with Puchiko. The resemblence is uncanny!

"What are you doing copying my looks, nyu?"

A close up of the... tail... Looks delish no? I was going to do a macro shot of the pantsu straight on, but I decided to go with the tail shot :P

The skirt can be removed, but then you'll lose the tail too... Not too mention the skirt was covering the bad torso and waist connection.

Shitapai! The under cleavage is a bit too much though... I mean it's so close that nipples should be visible! But this is definitely true to Kanu's art style.

A panchira of Chouhi! She's got loose socks too! Oh c'mon somebody please go make a good figure out of her! Don't you want my money???

The display base is laughable... this probably the only good quality thing about it. If I display her, I'll most likely do it without the base.

This is a nicer base from another nekomimi figure, Louise. I have her on display without it because I thought I could have some fun with this shag carpet lookalike ^_^ She looks pleasing on this base, yes?

Oh, but who's that coming up behind her?

Ah it's another nekomimi girl...

No, wait... that's no nekomimi!! That's... ALDORA! And she's ready to pounce on this little kitty!

That watermark placement seems so wrong, yes?

Kanu is wondering what's happening behind her...

Kanu: "Is it in yet?"

IF (I emphasize on the "if" here) anyone wants the above picture as a wallpaper, let me know and I'll resize it to your display XD And if you do use it as a wallpaper, I want a screenshot of it :P The above picture is at 1600x1200.

Full Moon! AWOOOO!

Chouhi: "What's she doing to you onee-chama, nya?"

I really love this angle... So what would you call this? Demon bestiality futanari fetish?

GN Archer

I've been meaning to work on GN Archer for a while, but it kept being pushed back. This was the decoy to prevent people from figuring out that I was doing a Mirai Gundam last month. I intended to make this one straight build from way back...

I haven't seen the second Gundam 00 season yet, but it is inevitable that I will watch it. Right now I'm just enjoying the kits that came along later on even though I have no idea what the mobile suits are about XD All I know is that I picked up GN Archer because it looked very feminine, lol.

All in all I believe I finished this kit in 6 hours, this is not including the pictures I've taken along the way. For what you ask? Why for the time lapse video I've been wanting to make along with this kit.

This video was actually inspired by one of Batmouse's (of DannyChoo.com) posts about time lapse videos. He asked if anyone intends to do one or not. I figured I'll make one for this kit just for a tryout. It seem to worked ok. What do y'all think?

Lastly, I've been dying to do a comic with GN Archer. I'm gonna save the comics for next week, but for now I'll post some funny pictures because I want to enter it into the Figure.fm Gundam Contest. I don't expect to win anything, especially with my crappy Gunpla skills. I just want to at least show it to a few people and get some laughs ^^

Tried to do some beam rifle effects here... Had to find a clip of GN Archer on Youtube to figure out the colours ^^;

Yep, the return of the tentacle figure! More to come next week!

Unlimited Saber Works

The arrival of Saber Lily Nendoroid was a pretty good timing. I was about to collect the poseable figures of Saber together. She came in with EMS shipping because I forgot to change my shipping method at HLJ from the last order ^^; But here she is posing with her older sisters. Saber Lily Figma had to borrow Excalibur from her blue cloth counterpart.

Here are the boxes I've placed for my project. This was taken before the Lily Nendoroid arrived, so the box isn't in the photo. I took this photo when I was taking pictures for the last Melancholy of Saber Lily comic.

Here are the Revoltech version of Sabers. The blue one must be the first poseable Saber ever made. I thought she was the cutest thing ever! I used the promo picture all over the place as avatars. Unfortunately the one I got had an extra long neck... The Revoltech Saber Alter might be the only poseable Alter we'll ever have, it seems. I also remembered there was a picture of Revoltech Saber Lily as well... Maybe that was custom made...

And here are the figmas... Saber Lily seems to be played more often. Saber who arrived way back when and I've only gotten a chance to take pictures of her recently. She'll get a spotlight soon though.

The Saber Nendoroids are growing exponentially! If I had the Konata version then she would be here too XD Right now I have these three. Hetare Saber, in the center, is a first generation Nendoroid, a lot of her pieces here hard to remove compared to the newer ones. I don't think I'll be able to interchange with the new ones... I really like the lion that Hetare Saber is riding on!

And of course my homemade Saber Gundam.

So what's the point of this? Well to explain let me show you the picture below...

That's how much Haruhi I'm using from the last Melancholy of Saber Lily comic... Can you guess what's coming up next?

No more riddles... No more waiting... A Dollfie Dream Theater X Melancholy of Saber Lily Collaboration between Wolfheinrich and myself, presents...

The Melancholy of Saber Lily Part 23

The conclusion... so many images that it can't be contained in a 4 panel comic!

It took me almost a full week to set this all up for the conclusion of the battle! If you look up again, all the pictures I've posted above the comics are all in the panels, separated from the background and placed into the comic background... Hours and hours were spent just to cut out the background... I'm exhausted!!!

Haruhi faction must be shaking in their boots... and yes, I've cut them out of the background too...

Now, I've told Wolfheinrich that it was going to be "Unlimited Saber Works"... but I don't think he really knows what's gonna happen at the end. I asked him to take pictures of Saber Dollfie holding Excalibur in front of her to show that she's chanting the spell. I also asked him to take a kneeling picture of Saber Dollfie and to put a figma on her thigh with her hand holding on to the figma. I did not tell him why I needed this picture :P And the reason for it is...

SPANKING GALORE GALLERY!

I thought this was kinda cute with Nendoroid spanking XD I was going to do a dialogue for Saber Lion in the last panel, but it was too busy already. She would've said, "GAO GAO GAAAAA!" Translated as "EXCALIBUR!" as she's about to spank Nendoroid Haruhi! Was gonna give a shout out to Snark because I know he would've liked that Gaogaigar reference ^^

Saber Lily, with the help of Saber Alter, gets even with Chouyusha Haruhi. I was going to put this smaller in the background, but Saber Lily's the star! So she was moved up closer to the front of the panel. Yeah, I had to use Mikuru's face on Haruhi again... One thing I forgot to take a picture of is the opened boxes of every figma and Nendoroid I was using... It was a disaster area!

This was pushed to the back to put Saber Lily up front. Basically Saber just finished her spanking of this Haruhi and about to put her sword back in the sheath. I guess this was appropriate since it's the original Saber and the original Haruhi ^^ While Lily was with the Chouyusha Haruhi. A tag team match in the future perhaps?

Hehehehe... this is just so hilarious to look at XD Basically these two are underneath Saber Dollfie's hand in the last panel. So she was holding two and was going to spank both of them with the giant Excalibur! Oh the hilarity just kills me!

And here's the final product of it. If you squint real hard you can see the two asses hanging out there XD

This is the first picture of Saber Lily and Chouyusha Haruhi that I took... I realized that Saber Lily may not be left-handed... So I had to reshoot this scene... I couldn't get the pose again, but I look at this photo right after I got it off the camera and just LAUGHED AND LAUGHED! It looked so good!

The last picture in the last panel was the two Nendoroids talking. The newest Nendoroid talking to the older Nendoroid. I thought that was quite appropriate...

Oh what's this? Extra pictures?

Poor poor Saber Lily Nendoroid... The comic is also posted at The Melancholy of Saber Lily. Check it out for previous installment!

Otaku Around the House

It's getting cold around here in Vancouver, so around the house is cold as well because of the granite floors here. So my feet is the first to react to the temperature... My solution? Totoro slippers!

Louise has a change of face to reflect my current situation... sorta. I get quite ticked off at work that sometimes I'm on the verge of tears of anger. I guess that's my self anger management ^^;

My cap... I wear it on rainy days or just any day really... It's really helpful these days when it is raining so it prevents my glasses from getting wet.

Ummm... I better stay alert in the morning...

Future home of Saber Lily. I think I'm ready to put her in there, but kinda lazy. Or maybe not lazy, but just doing a lot of work on the computer.

Finally I took pictures of my Iron Man statue that I got from HLJ way back in their Summer Sale. This statue was 60% off its original price. I pre-ordered an Iron Man bust from a comic book store, but I never got it... So instead I've spent the same amount of money on the full size statue!

And it lights up! The smaller Iron Man action figure is for scale purposes. I was telling my co-worker about the big statue that I got for quite cheap. Ok, cheap is not really the word, but less expensive than its original price... I can't remember who made that action figure, but the statue is from Kotobukiya.

I really wanted an Iron Man merchandise ever since the movie last year. It was just one of the best comic book superheroes movie I've seen!

Just to show how it looks like in the dark ^^

This has been an intermission between two Melancholy of Saber Lily comics XD
