Aoi & Mari's BirthDDay

After almost a month of no posts, I've finally getting around to this post about a doll meet that happened almost a month ago... My last blog post was my blogday post, which happened to be when this meet occurred ^^; ANYHOO... The owner of Aoi and Mari Dollfie Dream, Galamirix, acquired the sisters on September 23, 2010 in Japan. Now that number has multiplied and one of them, Sakuya, even greeted us at the door when we came in...

Thrice-Cooked Doll Meat

Err... That's "Doll Meet" btw... And it's thrice, because we met at three different locations for our meet. I started to head out from around 9 am to The Urban Tea Merchant in downtown Vancouver. I still don't like parking in downtown Vancouver ^^; Thanks to Elfinder to arrange this meet and make the reservation. Our main meet was for the tea :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Now give me your wallet...

 Another backlog set of photos... The meet was close to St. Patrick's Day, so we made it into a St. Patrick's Day theme. So we were all trying to get our dolls to wear green ^^ We met at Nikkoffee again since we liked it so much last time. Not to mention it's pretty quiet in the mornings, so we get the cafe to ourselves :D

Mini Anime/Doll Meet - 03.12.2011

And now, starting on my backlog of photos that I didn't post yet... It was a very busy March. Starting from the end of February to be exact. I was preparing the April Fool's joke that I planned with Chun and then started work my 200th post with the stop motion video, and then work 6 days a week when one of my co-workers were off on vacation. It was very busy, but I figured I should have some fun while I have my days off. So on the second Saturday, I had a mini meet at my place... But I didn't plan it ^^; Meaning I just provide the place, but I didn't arrange it, hahaha.

As you saw in Chun's post and my post from the maid cafe, I've acquired an Azone Yui! It was a hard sell actually. At the time when she was on sale, I didn't have any money. She is second-hand, did not have her original body and her guitar was not included. But I was able to ask for a lower, more reasonable price because of the missing details. I didn't mind as much because she would be a good pairing for my Azonyan XD The previous owner was willing to wait (plus she didn't have any other buyers) until I have enough to pay for Yui, which was way back in October 2010. I finally received Yui around the first couple of weeks of January ^^;

Mini Doll Meet at a Maid Cafe

So even though I couldn't come to the originally planned BJD Meet in Langley in Early February, I was able to make it to this smaller one at the Nikkoffee Cafe which had maids as servers (you can see the maids at the end of this post). This cafe was smaller and fewer menu items but it was a bit better compared to the "Cosplay Cafe" that I went to before. It's also located in Richmond, across the Richmond City Hall.

The main event was, of course, the meet. We had quite a bit of people coming by and pretty much filled up the seats by the time I came at 11:15 am on Sunday (February 13th). It was pretty much our group for the longest time.
