First Fan Expo in Vancouver

Fan Expo has arrived in Vancouver! Though it is now come and gone when this is posted ^^; Fan Expo have always been one of the biggest combined geekery convention in Canada, but usually only in Toronto. This year it came to Vancouver. I'm hoping the title of my post become "The First Annual Fan Expo in Vancouver", but judging from how successful the turnout was it won't be a surprise if it doesn't happen again next year.

A Week in Vancouver (After a Week in L.A.)

Well, technically three weeks in Vancouver, and technically it wasn't really a week in L.A., but you get the gist of it... I was trying to post this a week after my AX trip, but turns out it was one of the busiest month for me thus far! It's like every weekend there was something going on. I was going nuts XD Anyhoo... To begin, the picture above was actually taken before my trip, but it's a good starter. I actually found a shop in Richmond where they were selling these "breast enhancer" cookies ^^;

AX (Suddenly Acquired) Loots

Here comes the loot, everybody knows that here comes the loot! Ok, that doesn't make sense, but anyways after an anime convention, you expect to see the loot post going up :P I kept all the fancy paper bags from J-List and MangaGamer. They're kinda like loot to me XD Honestly I didn't buy too much. I wanted to limit myself because I already spent quite a bit just trying to get to Los Angeles for AX.

So let's get to the loots one by one shall we? I got a lot of small items that may not be too visible in the main picture.

Video Games Live 2010 - Vancouver

This is actually my third time attending Video Game Live, but the first time I kept record of it ^^; I seem to forget lots of things if I don't keep track of them, so this is why VGL is now on my blog, especially the song list. That's one benefit of a blog, it keeps your memories for you XD

So the third Video Games Live took place on Thursday before Iron Man started the next day. And I wanted to see Iron Man 2 right away... It's been a very busy week for me ^^;  The venue for VGL seems to change every time they come. Our seats were in the balcony and my brother picked the seats where we would have nobody in front of us. Very cool seats! Except there were a lot of people walking back and forth... Nonetheless it was another great orchestra, even if some of them have been done already.

"We Came, We Saw!"

No conquering here. Just coming and sawing. "We came, we saw" is the tagline for the new PSP game called Patchwork Heroes. I've been playing the demo almost nonstop when it came out about two weeks ago. There are only 3 levels in the demo, but I enjoyed it so much that I can't stop playing the same 3 levels over and over.

It's a Sony

It indeed is a Sony. However it wasn't the first choice... 

Ever since the old TV blew up, it was a struggle to get a new one. I thought asking the Twitter followers would be helpful, so I brought it up. I usually don't bring up stuff as expensive as this to public because I tend to keep that stuff private. Unfortunately I know NOTHING about TVs nowadays. LCDs? Plasmas? LEDs? Woosh! It went all over my head.

Loot from Boxing Day & Before Christmas

Once again it's another outing for Boxing Day shopping! Hoping to get some good deals and perhaps even win $500 gift card from Best Buy, an electronic & entertainment store. This has been the second time I'm going there really early. Once again I didn't sleep the night before. So I woke up at 10 AM on Christmas morning and did not sleep until the 26th... or should I say 27th at 12:30 AM.

The Melancholy of Dollfie Saber

The collaboration project between Wolfheinrich and myself continues... Drop by Wolfheinrich's World to see the Dollfie Dream Theater parallel story occurring around the same time as my last 4koma. Another Dollfie Dream Theater x Melancholy of Saber Lily chapter! Take it away Wolf!

Speaking of Saber Lily... I thought I'd show you guys some of my latest Saber Lily loot... Ok only some of them are latest, the others came many moons ago.

Sorry for the bad quality pic and background... Just took this while I'm hiding from a certain houseguest... The latest would be the Saber Lily shirt from Cospa. Another addition to my Cospa shirt collections... The next newest thing would be Fate Unlimited Codes for the PSP, the downloadable version. I haven't unlocked Saber Lily yet though -.- And finally the Saber Lily PSP case and headphones, which was a special third party package of PSP accessories that came out when Unlimited Codes came out in Japan a few months ago.

Perhaps I'll make a 4koma out of that shirt and Saber Lily... Oh and I'm also ecstatic to see the Haruhi vs Saber Lily 4koma as one of the rotating headers of Figure.FM! Thanks for adding my header, Danny!

Happy Nu Year!

Tis the end of the year again... and once again I don't really remember what happened this past year XD Well I remember, but only the past few months... everything seemed to just flow together.

Anyway I spent a ronery New Year's Eve with the above things occupying me til midnight. Ok not the PSP so much. I just had to take a picture of it. Too bad you can't see the Rei wallpaper on it ^^;

That's my dinner which consists of BBQ chicken from store, cranberry sauce from can, stuffings and croquettes that my mom made. Almost like Thanksgiving/Christmas, eh? It's good stuff though, been wanting to have cranberry sauce for a while.

While eating that dinner I watched Tales of Phantasia: The Animation. 2 hours of Kousuke Fujishima goodness! Ok, it wasn't super good, but I liked it. I'd appreciate it more if I played the game, but I've been delaying watching this DVD for a while. It was too short, only taking the important moments from the game. It felt similar to Chrono Trigger since it involved time travelling and such, but it was different enough for me not to call it Clono Trigger :P

And guess what's beside it... why yes, a Chrono Trigger game. I've been playing that ever since I got it. I've finished it twice now. One where I got the full complete ending, and the other with New Game+ where you get all the equipments and levels from the last savegame. I beat Lavos, the final boss, using only Chrono and Marle and get the speedy credits (since I finished the game so fast, lol). They made an Akira Toriyama sprite for this game!! WOW! And now to get the other 9+ endings ^^;

Last, but not least, is Saber Lily, if I still have time tonight I'll take a special shot of her and a special someone. She's going to be the first figma I'll ever open. So glad I got her before the New Year. Kawaii Saber Lily! Oh and please overlook the tissue box, that's just to prop up the DVD... really. So that's how I spent my Nu Year's Eve.
