Knee Pits

The colloquial term for the back of the knee, or if you'd like to be technical about it, popliteal fossa. It's the area where your knee bends. Since it's similar to where the arm bends at the shoulder, the arm pit, this area is also called the "knee pit".

The above photo of Kanu in cosplay is by Ren of Zark&Ren on Cosplay.com. Look through more of their cosplay at their site!

Please be wary that there may be some picture that are risque and NSFW...

Yuri Mania 12

Good day everyone! I am off to Boston tonight at 11:30 PM, so I will be unable to post anything for a while or hang around online because I'll be mostly at the convention, AnimeBoston. However, I can't just leave without posting one of my yuri posts! Also posted as Weekly Lily at DannyChoo.com.

The above shirt is actually acquired from AnimeBoston 2007. I haven't actually worn it because the vendor told me that if I shouldn't put it into a dryer after I wash it. I might just forget this and put it in the dryer anyway... This is the shirt that initiated my search for all things yuri, so it's appropriate that I post it here eventually. When I first seen the picture I couldn't tell who they were since it was black and white... then as I saw the finished product I realized that it's Winry Rockbell and Riza Hawkeye from Fullmetal Alchemist!! Very surprisingly it's Winry that's taking the initiative ^^;

This will be the third year I'll be attending AnimeBoston. I'm also visiting a friend that I've met from the days when I played World of Warcraft. I think our common rabid fandom of Rei Ayanami made us real close friends even though he's way over in the East Coast and I'm in the West Coast.

Every year I give him stuff that I bought and decided I don't want them anymore... but one man's unwanted things is another's must have items! Well that and it's sorta like a belated birthday present for him.

Last year or early this year (I can't remember) I bought the Yomako-sensei oppai mousepad. It was on sale at Hobby Search. I thought I'll keep another for just in cases, but I also thought that if I didn't want it, I know my friend would. I figured I have enough oppai mousepads with Yoko and Haruka ^^;

Back of the box... what's it say there in the speech box? Yomako's oppai/padding is much bigger than Yoko's. It's heavier too... as proven in the bottom flap of the box. It's just not closing properly!

In case no one knows who Yomako-sensei is... It's an identity that Yoko uses after the end of the first arc in Gurren Lagann. She doesn't want people to know who she really is. She teaches a class of elementary age students in a small island. It wasn't until 7 years later that she return to action in her usual bikini & micro shorts sniper outfit.

This is what she looks like outside the box. Also a view from behind the oppai and a view from the top of her head. I took a few pictures just in case I feel like I shouldn't have given her away ^^;
Here is Yomako-sensei compared to Yoko. Lookit them big couple o' mountains! You can see the significant difference in this picture as well.
And here are all of my oppai mousepads compared with Yomako-sensei! Haruka seems to be the smallest compared to the other two... Maybe because Haruka was a part of a magazine premium?

And what's a Yuri Mania post without a couple of docking pictures? *Yuriyuriyuri* DOKKAN! Docking sequence complete!

Hmm... some kind of weird time-slip yuri docking? What would they say to each other before they start docking? ^^;

The two that I owned wants to dock as well! It looks like Haruka is prepared for it with her hands on her chest.

And now Haruka gets a turn with the teacher... Hot for a teacher? Yomako-sensei's oppai is just swallowing Haruka whole!

Anyhow... I will be back on Monday, 25th of May and I'm sure I'll have TONS of DannyChoo.com member news & posts on my blogroll to catch up on...

How to Spend 20,000 Yen Part 1

YAY! My first shipment from Tenso has arrived! It came on Thursday, May 7th, but I didn't take pictures until Friday and didn't get around to this post til now on Saturday. I was feeling super tired and drained from sleeping late and waking up too early this week. Uh anyway... I was waiting for my friend to come over so when the first doorbell rang, I thought it was him, but to my surprise it was the mailman carrying a big box. I signed for it and saw the Amazon logo on it and I knew what it was... I was very giddy but I held my excitement because my friend came over a few minutes later.

Now for the opening! I was surprised at the lack of packing paper that was in it. I assume it might've been taken out by Tenso to see what was in the package. I actually thought Tenso would be using their own box, but I guess not. Fortunately everything arrived intact without any damage. Plus I have fewer paper to throw out

I decided to spend my 20,000 yen prize money at Amazon Japan, a month after Danny announced I was the winner for the "Your Room" Giveaway... It took me a while because I was still deciding what to get and also because my Japanese is quite lacking. I finally registered, but something won't let me go through with the address registration that was instructed from Tenso. I was confused too why the instruction for Tenso was to put the addresses in romaji/roman letters. It wasn't until later that I found out that Amazon can translate the registration page in English.......

So everything was ordered on Amazon, all that was left to email Danny and he introduced me to Jenny, one of the staffs at Tenso. She was very nice and tried to answer all my questions to the best of her ability. I gave her my PayPal ID and she told me I will get the prize when my shipment's been sent. It was lucky that I got my shipment this early because Golden Week in Japan (4 days of holiday in a row) was about to start. As Danny and Tenso promised, the shipment was included in the prize, even though I gave them my credit card number (I guess that will be for future usage ;). I haven't received the 20,000 yen yet, but I think it's just because I got it when the weekend is about to start. So I won't bug them about it until next week during a weekday.

The Tenso service itself is quite efficient. I received an email from Tenso notifying that my shipment from Amazon saying that my order has arrived, 2 days after Amazon told me that my order has been shipped. So I quickly confirmed my order at Tenso so my stuff can be shipped right away before Golden Week.

And now for the loot...

Oh but first, here is the bottom of the box. It's quite different than the box they use from Amazon Canada. I thought this looked like it could hold more stuff and uses less tape. Hmm ok, did I delay this enough to hold your excitement? LOL.

And here they are! What? Why so little? Well... this is Part 1, you see. So I will post more later on. For now I will show Saber's Photobook, that was released quite a while ago, and the Gift 1/5 Yoko figure. Both are to drool for... I have been wanting these two for a while now. I was very surprised how big Yoko is. I will post a review of her soon... if not a review then a photo gallery since many have already reviewed her.

For now I've flipped through (and tried not to drool on) the Saber photobook. Here's a few of them, but sorry for the folds because I don't wanna ruin the book. The above photo reminds me of Clannad and Kyoto Animation drawing style for some reason.

After looking at RadiantDreamer's Asuka on the motorcycle post, I'm wishing someone would make some kind of garage kit or figure based on the above picture.

I don't know why, but I really like this face even though it looks unfinished...

And finally another picture that I've never seen on the internet before. Saber is wearing some kind of uniform or dress that just looks gorgeous on her!

That's it for now. I will post once more when I get my second shipment in June/July.

Oppai Mousepads vs Saber Lily vs Haruhi

I blame Danny Choo for making me buy these two mousepads... LOL! He was advertising the Dengeki G's Festival magazine that had the Haruka Nogizaka (from Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu) mousepad. And for some reason I wanted one so bad after reading about it. Unfortunately the magazine wasn't readily available yet at the time I was reading the article... Luckily the Yoko (from Gurren Lagann) mousepad was available for order from Hobby Search. So I took advantage of it ^_^

"Oppai" means bosoms, by the way...

Size comparison between the two oppai ^^;

It was quite soft on the wrist and makes it really comfortable... Ah no, I don't really know if it does help or not. I don't see any improvements much... ^^; It's nice to have a wrist-rest at least. Unfortunately that leaves less room for the mouse to move around compared to the original rectangular mouse pad.

Eventually I found that magazine with Haruka Nogizaka mousepad in it. I found it at Iwase Book Store in Richmond, BC. It was quite expensive because they shipped it by airmail and I had to pay the cost for it =_=

Right now I'm using Haruka mousepad for the desktop computer downstairs, which is more frequently used, so it has some wear already. While I'm using the Yoko one for the laptop computer upstairs, which is hardly used. I actually brought the Yoko mousepad to work one day just for laughs... ^^;

I do have another one of these, but that one I won't show for reasons I will not say right now... No, not because it's a nekkid one ok, jeez! Anyway this is just pretense for my next Figma 4-panel comics and to show my friend who wanted to see these mousepads ^_^

The Melancholy of Saber Lily Parts 8 & 9

Potty mouth Saber Lily returns! And my hand makes an appearance XD

You may want to watch this duel scene from Star Wars Episode III to understand the joke below... otherwise it's pretty funny the way it is, I hope...

Tanned Swimsuit Yoko

Wave 1/8 Yoko, Swimwear Ver. - Limited Special Color Version

This would be my second Yoko, from Gurren Lagann, figure ever. Unfortunately I'm a fan of her a bit later when my money's running out... I did get an oppai mouse pad of hers at least. Anyway, this is the special color version of the figure which has tanlines. At first I thought the tanline looked awful on her because of the costume she usually wears. Later on though, I find myself wanting the tanline version after I cancelled my order from Hobby Search. I found that Hobbylink Japan still had the tanline edition, so I took the plunge!

So here you can see the original version on the box, and also the "Limited Special Color Version" label on the box. I really like Wave's packaging, very compact compared to some other 1/8 scale figures. She was shipped along with my Louise swimsuit figure, which had similar size box. The shorts she's holding is just barely peeking out of the box since it's so compact.

I really liked the white swimsuit, it was just a matter whether I wanted Yoko to be tanned or not. I'm surprised that they still have the tanline edition even though I ordered it much later.

Translations plx!

She's very stable even without the base, but her ponytail is sticking out, so better be safe and put on the display base. Oh and the belt is separate too. Unfortunately the belt is soft plastic and it didn't look the same as the one on the box. I'd squish it to put it back into it's shape, but I don't wanna wreck the plastic.

The tanline looks very subtle, which I am glad because of what I mentioned before. Though I thought it might've been TOO subtle. The price difference isn't so bad between the two that I didn't mind paying an extra 500 yen for the special color. It may not look too visible here, but if you look closer it's quite visible.

This is the spot that looked quite odd to me. If you see her hand where her glove is supposed to be. But I guess that's how it's supposed to look like...

Her paint job isn't too good since I see some spots that looked dirty. The seams look pretty good that it's not really visible. Her hair has quite a lot of seams though, but they aren't very noticable.

Low angle shot!

Cute face and cute swimsuit... AND thigh high stockings! I love this Yoko! And the suggestion that she stripped down from her shorts too hehehe. I really love the wrinkles around the swimsuit and her thigh highs as well. Very nice details.

This looks good as a wallpaper! Anyone want it? Just ask me and I'll resize it to your resolution ^_^

Oops, almost forgot to show you the base. Sandy base, very appropriate. Too bad I didn't have an appropriate background... For her size and quality she's quite inexpensive. I think it's because it's Wave. I've been paying attention to Wave's figures quite a lot ever since they released the Evangelion Angels series which used Yoshizaki Mine's art as the design. If I recall correctly, this is the first time Wave is doing something bigger than their usual 1/10 scale... I'm pleased with this Yoko and I'm glad they're doing well. I look forward to see what they'll release next.
