Birthday of Ayanami 2013

Once again it's Rei's birthday! And sadly, this is only my second post of the year on this blog. I think I'm too involved on Tumblr... I will also be away on Rei's actual birthday. I'm actually at Sakura-Con in Seattle this year on Rei's birthday. I'll be wearing a Rei shirt of course :3 Anyway... I haven't gotten any new Rei things this year, so I'm only posting photos that I'm heavily backlogged on ^^; This has been delayed since last summer!

Gokigenyou! It's MEIKO's birthday so Luka and Miku congratulates MEIKO on her birthday ^^; Miku is actually not mine, but borrowed from Kaionlriu. Been meaning to take some photos of her but didn't get around to it til now.

Shiteyan'yo

I've been meaning to make this post for a long time now. For some reason I'm fascinated by this two legged Miku face meme. It's creepy and scary, but I'm intrigued. Very unique creature that roams this land ^_^ So I figured it's appropriate for a Halloween post, yes? The pic above is my favourite Shiteyan'yo picture. Very deceiving!

AX 2011: Consolidated Edition

For some reason I've been hearing the word "consolidate" a lot... So I'll use it too for my main Anime Expo post. Last year I wrote up everything in one post and it was looooonnngggg! This year there weren't as much events to describe, so maybe it'll be shorter if I do it in one post. There were some panels that I wasn't allowed to take pictures of and others that I was too lazy to take pictures of... So I'll have some photos that are not related while I'm telling my story... ^^;

Ah and that Gundam Unicorn is human-size. I thought it's a good start since the abbreviation on the shoulder spells out "Anime Expo" :P

Lions and Tigers and B★RS, Oh My!

Black Rock Shoot... Aaah, whatever... BRS is pretty much old news these days right? Which means it's a good time to make a post about Black Rock Shooter, hehehe. But really I figured since everyone's done their reviews already I could just stuff'em in their original packaging box that came from Toylet. Normally I don't order from them, but they had a special promotion...

Iron Miku 2+

I thought I'd try out another stop motion with Iron Miku. It's good timing too that the home video release of Iron Man 2 is coming out in 3 more days over here. Good timing, right? ...Well to be honest, I've been working on this since the beginning of this month and I got really lazy to finish it up until now. Oh and I did have that shoulder pain around Labor Day, so I have a part of an excuse to not be able to work on this.

However, I realized that I should finish this, especially for today, since today is my second Blogday. Yep, I've been blogging for 2 years now. Time flies. Last year I did a custom Gundam project, same with the first year I started. I don't have much time this year unfortunately, but I did work on this project... I guess I'll use it to celebrate this second year ^^;

Iron Miku Suits Up

If you're reading this at 10 AM on Friday, the seventh of May, that means I'm at the IMAX theatre watching Iron Man 2. When the first movie came out, it was a sure thing that I will watch it. The trailer just made it so damn cool and when I did see it, I regretted it... That I didn't watch it on the first day! I think it was even better than Dark Knight that came out in the same year, in my opinion :P

Spring's Not-So-Ecchi Anime

Within a flash of pantsu indeed... Remember, the word "pantsu" can mean any ol' underwear, even boxer shorts... Yes, after all that ecchiness from the previous post, we go to the not-so-ecchi stuff. I'm sure there are some ecchiness to it, but not as visual as Kissxsis or Ichiban Ushimaro Daimaoh.

This is actually safe for work, so go ahead and kill some time at work ;)

Within a Flash of Pantsu

I think it's about time I embrace what I truly am. And I am an ecchi man... Yes, it's hard to admit, but Mr. Fat Bastard (who's as ecchi, by the way) found me out real fast after several weekly posts at DannyChoo.com and Figure.FM. So I figured, I might as well make it official... "Within a Flash of Lightning" is no more, long live "Within a Flash of Pantsu"!

The Return of Saber Lion

After weeks of delay, I've finally got around to creating more Saber Lily 4koma comics. I have something special planned for the next two parts that it discouraged me in doing them. It'll be a big project. At least I'll post this easier one while I work on the next one for next week (hopefully). As for the picture above (If a kind soul would do me the favor of translating what it says on the picture then that would be great!) ... well let's call it "Saber Playing with her Food"... You'll find out what that means when you scroll down a little for...

The Melancholy of Saber Lily Part 13

Umm... so if it's not food then that means, you're playing with it, Saber Lily? ^^;

Ah so finally up to part 13 already. Some say 13 is an unlucky number. I don't usually believe it, but I believed it this time because I made layers for the static version and I figured since I was done I'll make the animated version. As I added extra layers for the animation I unconsciously deleted the layers I needed for the static version and I realized that I haven't saved a JPG version yet! Oh lord... so I had to redo some of it. Thankfully after doing it the first time I found an easier way to do it for the second time.

This marks the return of Saber Lion to these pages... I've been wanting to add her sooner, but I found so many storylines I could do in between. It was a pain to pose her though... She can't really stay in her stand that well! This is also the first appearance of Nendoroid Hatsune Miku in the comics! Albeit a short appearance... a painful one at that :P Although that's not one of her faces. Anyone guess whose face that is? Answer will be in the next comic post.

The tentacle is also a pain in the ass to pose! I am so glad I'm done with it for this one. It'll make one more appearance in the next part, but I did that shot yesterday along with these ones. When I opened it out of the box again, it was giving out the strongest plastic smell that I got very nauseous from it...

And now for the dreaded animation version that screwed me up. It didn't turn out that bad... but it is a simple animation. Just wanted to show Saber Lion whacking Miku with her own negi. :P
